In the past three weeks, Gov. Bill Lee went to Asia (no public events), said dumb things about vouchers (sorry, forgot to send that week out, it was a bad week), and had his staffer schedule poorly fact-checked tweets while on vacation or something (no public events last week either).
(Hot tip, Laine and Chris — learn to thread your tweets! Also, if your boss is so anti-alcohol he won’t hold a champagne glass to lead a toast at fundraising gala, it’s a little weird that he’s pretending to tweet about his favorite brewery!)
In this upcoming week, Lee will be on hand for the groundbreaking of the usurping soccer team stadium in Chattanooga. (That’s not likely to endear him to some folks around here.) He’s also going to some events in East Tennessee, ceremonially signing bills that have already become law, and looking at heifers — but, no, you cannot ask him about the heifers, because it’s photo op only.
As for me, I’ve got three stories coming in the next seven days, records willing. Stay tuned!
