Looks like Gov. Bill Lee will be skipping the Gibson announcement today (possibly because Nate Rau already announced it but equally possibly because he wants to avoid those pesky Capitol press corps) and heading to West Tennessee to comment on recent flooding (which doesn’t seem to be as bad as predicted, according to all the local news I could find). The change in schedule means Lee won’t talk to reporters in Nashville the rest of the week.
GOVERNOR LEE’S MEDIA SCHEDULE FOR JULY 17, 2019 – JULY 21, 2019
Due to ongoing flooding conditions across the state, and additional rain associated with the remnants of Hurricane Barry particularly in West Tennessee, Governor Lee will travel to Lauderdale County tomorrow afternoon to meet with those impacted by the flooding and tour affected areas.
