March Recommendation: Weights
Everything feels heavy right now. Why not make that feeling literal?
Reminder: I am unemployed now! I’d love it if you became a paid subscriber! Don’t want to deal with Substack? Venmo me, and I will add you to the subscriber list. You can also hire me for all your copywriting/communications/freelance reporting needs! I even have a new portfolio website where you can see what I can do!
I have hated the gym for so, so long that it feels so, so wrong to even be writing these words. But it turns out that all you freaks who are addicted to your runners’ highs are probably onto something: Even short little easy(ish) workouts on a semi-consistent basis kinda make you feel better over time.
To be very clear, I am not running. I am not really doing any cardio right now besides walking my dog (which, because I live on a mountain, feels challenging enough for right now). All I am doing is going to the Y and using the weight machines for 20 to 30 minutes a few days a week. And it (ugh, I HATE saying this) feels good.
